Dear Reader,

I hope you are doing well, tonight.

I'm excited to announce my candidacy for the office of Governor of California. In the event that our current Governor Gray Davis gets recalled, I'll be running for the open position.

Right now, there is an effort underway to remove Gray Davis from office. He has allowed small problems in California to turn into huge crises. Additionally, he has used California's resources improperly, cost the state millions of dollars and made many poor and costly decisions. It seems that everyone except the liberal far-left is intent on recalling him.

Davis let our energy prices skyrocket, causing many businesses to file for bankruptcy. This and the Oracle scandal are two reasons why most Californians see Davis as inept and corrupt. These tragedies, scandals and oversights cannot compare with the budget crisis, though.

According to the New York Times, the state budget deficit is approximately $35 billion and growing by $21 million a day. However, it gets worse. Since Davis has yet to find a solution to the problems he allowed to mushroom, the state will have to borrow at least $10 billion this summer just to pay off short-term debts and meet cash flow.

Gray Davis’ actions are simply inexcusable. His leadership has been tested and he has failed. It’s time to recall him before he lets our state fall deeper into utter disarray.

California needs a Governor with Christian morals, excellent leadership qualities, a dedication to public service, the desire to appoint wise leaders and the ability to listen to sound advice while ignoring poor advice. This state must have a person in office who can serve the public by following God's lead and biblical truths. California will thrive with a godly man of integrity in office.
